Certification for Long-Term Care (CLTC)

CLTC® Certification for Long-Term Care educates professionals in the fields of insurance, financial services, law, and accounting about the severe consequences a need for care over an extended period of years would have, not only on their client but on the emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing of the client’s loved ones. Through this education, professionals gain the Certification for Long-Term Care Designation, boosting credentials and connecting them with their clients. CLTC®’s comprehensive training programs equip their graduates with the proper skill set to discuss these consequences, offer a plan to mitigate them, and when appropriate, recommend long-term care insurance as a funding source for that plan. CLTC offers three training options:

  • Master Class: A 16-hour classroom-based training experience designed to prepare students for the CLTC designation exam. The Master Class helps advisors acquire a powerful set of planning skills to confidently create appropriate funding solutions for clients. Students gain core competencies in long-term care services, Medicare, Medicaid, veterans benefits, self-funding, LTC insurance, and many other important concepts.
  • Foundations: Learn more about LTC before signing on to become certified. This 4-hour virtual training class offers CE credit and allows you to confidently start having LTC planning conversations the very next day.
  • Product Insider: This one-day class offers advisors with prior CLTC training a thorough overview of all the LTCi products available in the market. Each product type will be defined and described in detail (with supporting case studies), including their pros and cons and sales applications. Product availability, by carrier, will also be provided.
  • eCLTC – An on-demand alternative to attending the live Master Class, eCLTC includes 24 online learning modules designed to help students prepare for the exam.
  • Accelerator – Program is for advisors that have completed the CLTC Master Class. It was designed to help planning professionals integrate their classroom training into their day-to-day activity to drive more sales and sustain those sales over time. With a maximum class size of 25 attendees, Accelerator incorporates individual activities with instructor coaching and peer support for maximum results.

International Society of Business Appraisers (ISBA)

The International Society of Business Appraisers (ISBA) is a premier Business Valuation Membership Association offering excellent education leading to the Business Certified Appraiser (BCA) designation. The goal is to provide businesses and individuals with the education and certification needed to best assist clients in the valuation of small and Main-Street-level businesses.

In addition to the BCA designation, ISBA offers the profession’s only Business Valuation Review certification (the BCA-R), and courses covering Advanced Financial Analysis, Going Concern – Real Property, and Building the Essential BV Templates in Excel.

National Equipment & Business Builders Institute (NEBB)

The NEBB Institute offers self-guided courses for qualified professionals seeking a Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (CMEA) certification.
